I have had nothing but trouble with Apple Support. I was actually accused by one representative of libel for quoting an official Apple statement that differed from his stated policy. Meanwhile other representatives are patronising or downright shout at me over the phone. All this while trying to resolve a very simple issue that is clearly Apple's responsibility. This App makes it far more of a hassle to book a "Genius Bar" appointment, and my only local Apple Store is frequently book for the foreseeable future (literally no available appointments listed). Finally, as a last resort I am attempting to engage Apple support by email. Despite acknowledging receipt of my emails, I recently waited 28 days for a completely useless email that said "call us". Then what's the point of having email support?? Oh, and they have yet to respond to me or anyone I know via the official Apple Support Twitter account. Great work guys!

The app covers all areas of all devices and the people on there are friendly and really helpful, it's not complicated or time consuming, they were more than happy to send my Watch off for a check up and they handled the situation very well. 5 stars!

1st thing to note (as of this week): My previous review for Apple Support App ('posted' in January) has actually finally appeared, as has a review of 'Alexa App' ('posted' in the last week) are the 1st reviews ACTUALLY posted (by Apple) of ANYTHING I have tried to review in the last 3-5 YEARS, as NONE of the previous 60+ attempts resulted in my reviews appearing here.😟😟😟 So thank you Apple for finally doing whatever you did (if anything at all) that now allows my reviews to appear.😀 So, Update as of 24/04/17 to 1st review, below this one: Apple seems to have changed completely the way this app now works, & how it connects you to them, and it does that a little slower than last time, so it isn't that much better. 😕 Instead of having to 'log in' it knows who are already, and what devices you have, plus has a history of recent 'chats', case numbers, issues, etc 🙂, though there are some factual errors in that 'history'😕 A history of your 'chat sessions' are stored either in the app, or (I hope) 'in the cloud' but accessed by the app (since storing this history locally could cause it to be lost if, or when, your iOS device has to be 'reset' - again).🙂 I suppose this means Apple then don't need to worry about failing (multiple times before this app was launched) to send you (by email) a record of what was said by you or them in the chat 😟😟😟(which you then don't need to send back to them afterwards (in any dispute) as they have it already. 🙂 So long as THEY don't 'accidentally' delete this history, thats fine by me since I don't have to waste space storing it.🙂 Also 'chat' via this app is now available '24/7' (from USA) according to last chat agent contacted. 😀😀😀👏👍 UNFORTUNATELY, I now find that if my 'issue' is NOT listed in any of 'available options', I will still have to call Apple anyway (which I can NOT do between 7:45pm GMT & 8:00am GMT, as they are 'closed' then for virtually ALL departments).😕😕👎 Also, most 'available options' will probably tell you to call them, anyway - if you can't get an efficient & accurate answer from a 'chat agent'!😕😕👎, see above for how far that will get you outside opening hours!!!!😟😡👊👎 Even when you DO call inside opening hrs the 'system robot' still refuses to recognise (multiple times on each call😟😟😟😡😡😡👊👊👎👎) my CORRECT security or IMEI number details and/or 'reasons for calling' wasting MORE time, before it finally gives up and asks other questions by giving limited phone keypad 'number' options, to select ensuring whoever you get will most likely be the wrong department - more time wasted. 😕😡👊👎 Assuming I haven't given up by then, IF I (eventually) get to talk to a 'Senior Level Tech Support' rep most don't have a clue how to fix ANYTHING, as despite 'taking ownership of this case', their future 'efforts', result in no change at all.🙂😡👊👎 I have heard multiple DOZENS of 'Senior Tech Support' reps tell me this in the last 12+ years - none of them have fixed a single thing!!!😡😡😡😟😟😟👊👊👊👎👎👎 Bob. '1st Review' Apple Support App - which connects to 'Live Chat' - Used once. On 27th or 28th Jan' 2017, on iPhone 6Plus iOS 10.2 One of worst apps EVER USED BY ME. Does not deserve ANY stars!!! Was connected within 20 seconds to 'Chat Agent Jake' (located in USA - I am in UK), wow! that was fast, BUT I then had 18 minutes time wasted with screen and keyboard freezing or crashing every 7-10 seconds!!!!! Also 'Jake' did know when I was typing, even though I knew when HE was typing, AND I waited untill he stopped, b4 I typed anything, but he kept firing questions at me making it IMPOSSIBLE for MY answers to catch up with HIS questions. He is supposed to be giving answers to MY questions, not the other way round!!! After 18 minutes he gave up & left the chat, saying he was transferring me to another 'senior' agent. That took more than 20 minutes (38 minutes in total so far, BEFORE chatting with 'senior agent') and screen/keyboard still crashing & freezing all the time like b4, when I was eventually reconnected to 'senior agent'. PLUS, this chat NOT sent to my email address so I have no record or proof of what was typed, when & by who!!!! No resolution to issues mentioned in that 'apple support app chat' or two previous chats (one agent called Murali) via website (also on same phone) copies of which also NOT sent to my email either!!! I only downloaded this app as I wanted to book a Genius Bar Appointment and that option has disappeared from the store app. However it appears that you can't even do that through this app!! I don't need reams and reams of articles, I just need an appointment so I can change my euro adapter for a new one, as per the Apple recall notice!! Very very frustrating!

The app is well designed and functional and the advisors are polite and friendly, but that's all they are. I've been trying to solve several issues with a pair of new AirPods for weeks now, and the online support is not able to do anything beyond very basic troubleshooting - appreciate volumes must be high, but this conveyor belt approach certainly does not support the customer experience for products priced in a range that make people expect it

Can you change it so that the language doesn't dictate the location. Phone is in French but region is set to UK, and yet I cannot select a repair in the UK on France, Belgium, Canada etc.

Spent 30mins on chat trying to sort out a simple transactional query. The support person was not able to 1.understand my issue, 2. locate relevant information in order to resolve my problem. He put me on hold (ON A CHAT) 5mins at a time twice. Apple you really let yourself down.

Crap app. Just makings things harder. Booking a genius appointment was once a 2 second process. Now it's a nightmare. Maybe that was the intention. All of the FAKE 5 star reviews disturb me.

My location is U.K., and my iPhone language is Chinese, but why I have to only choose China or Singapore for support? Why I can't change the language of the app? Why I can't use English to get support when the app is in different languages .

Open app, pass few seconds in Login page, and gives warning that device should be connected to WiFi or Cellular to get to internet.. and it app can't figure out that device has internet. So frustrating.. Support app needs support, where should I get support then. Totally useless because can't do anything as it somehow assumes I have no internet. So poor quality and experience from Apple team.

I would have usually phoned up and been waiting on the phone for about 10 minutes until I was transferred to an agent and then maybe a senior technician… This app seems to me time and effort and is extremely easy to use with voice-over for the Blind. It has all the options one would need to solve their problems. Excellent.

I've been an apple product user for years and I mean Years, so it's saddens me when I have to give such a low rating.... Downloaded the app & nothing, wouldn't get past the log in screen. If your not going to put the resources & servers behind this product, don't realise it.. App deleted. Update: I reinstalled the app (as I don't like to be defeated), this time around it did not give a log in option but knew me & my devices straight away. I will now check out the app features and amend my review & rating as applicable.

This application is really good. It has all my devices on and you can select which one you need help with. Obviously I never want to use it as I don't want problems with my equipment but bugs happen and someone's there to help. It's great when the problem is my MacBook and I can then chat on my iPhone rather than closing the MacBook down and losing the whole conversation. It was a little slow when getting a reply from the person, don't know if that's because of my slow internet connection

Downloaded this app. Asked for password which I put in. Then crashed straight away. Tried again and then crashed so deleted it. Oh and it doesn't except passcode if you forget something even when you put in the correct passcode and it says NO.
