“Things sets itself apart in flexibility and ease.” - O’Reilly, Best iPhone Apps

“Things definitely tops our list of GTD applications for the iPhone.” - Cory Bohon, Mac|Life — 5 stars

“If Things sounds simple, that’s because it is. Other to-do list managers I’ve tried have, quite honestly, gotten in the way of me getting things done. Things doesn’t do that. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.” - Macworld — 4 stars

When you start using Things, you’ll be surprised how easy it is to enter and manage your tasks. And with Things’ beautiful interface, task management becomes a delight. But all of this doesn’t come at the expense of power—everything you wish for in a task manager, Things has you covered.

• Today: Decide which tasks you want to do today and put them into your Today list. Throughout the day, come back to this list to check items off. Things will automatically show you due and scheduled items there once their date arrives - so you won’t miss anything important.

• Focus: See what you need to do Today, what’s coming up Next, and what’s Scheduled for later. Put tasks in Someday if you can’t work on them right now, you can always come back to them later.

• Keep organized: Work, Family, Hobby - with Things, everything has its place. Projects and Areas of Responsibility let you master complex tasks and stay on top of your responsibilities in life and work.

• Use Tags to assign contexts, priorities, time – whatever fits your personal workflow. Quickly filter a list to find those tasks which are most relevant now.

• Out of your head, into Things: Enter new ideas the moment they hit you. Adding to-dos is always just a tap away.

• And much more: Create repeating tasks, add due dates, schedule tasks for a later date, review completed tasks in the Logbook, etc.

Things for iPhone includes a new Quick Action for the app icon; a Today Widget in Notification Center for quick access to your to-dos; Handoff support for seamless transition between Mac, iPad, iPhone, and Apple Watch; an “Add to Things” extension for creating to-dos from other apps; a sharing extension for sending to-dos to other apps; and Push Sync with Background Refresh to keep to-dos up-to-date even while the app isn’t running.

Things is also available for Apple Watch—included for free with your purchase of Things for iPhone. Have all of your to-dos for the day easily accessible on your wrist, and mark them complete as you go; focus on specific projects; track your progress as you complete to-dos throughout the day; and enter new to-dos easily just by speaking to Siri. See the app in action here =>

Your to-dos, on all your devices. Things Cloud is a free service that stores your to-dos and updates them quickly & effortlessly across your Mac, iPad, iPhone, and Apple Watch (Mac & iPad apps sold separately).

We provide world-class, professional support for Things. If you have any issues or questions about the app, please contact us and we’ll be glad to help you:

Comments and Ratings for Things

Best in class (2.8.10)
18/01/2017 05:29:00 5/5 By theedit
Simply put Things is one of the very best apps on the AppStore, I've used it since version 1.0 eight years ago, and it's never let me down.

Brilliance (2.8.10)
16/01/2017 15:11:00 5/5 By Danio1972
So. I've tried them all. I keep returning to Things. Why? In a world where services offer sync that corrupts and duplicates. Where repeating tasks shift dates. Where tasks just disappear from view. You have to ask can no one deliver a robust task system you can depend on. A system you don't have to keep checking it's not fouled up. Well. Cultured Code and Things delivers exactly that. Period.

Love it! (2.8.9)

I'm awful at keeping organised but this is working wonders so far 👏

Just don't get this app! (2.8.9)
04/01/2017 15:12:00 1/5 By Pjj7368
I bought this app and to be honest have no idea how it's any major improvement on the free Apple reminder app. Apart from some pretty useless tags for each reminder. 1. It doesn't sort tasks in due date order! (Pretty basic) 2. It doesn't show you automatically what's due next within that menu!! 3. The customisation menu is also pretty basic / woeful. Sorry guys... This is one pretty pointless app!!!

Simply the best (2.8.9)

I felt I had to write this review. After moving away from Things for over year I came back. Why? It's the best app out there. Yes it's expensive compared to others, yes it's slow to develop compared to others. But it's also bug free, sync works flawlessly and the application is beautiful. Things is worth every penny if your are serious about GTD.

Slow to evolve (2.8.9)
15/12/2016 03:04:00 3/5 By hiphopyoudontstop
The core app is great, and there's A lot to be said for not over complicating it. However, I can't remember the last time a significant improvement was made feature wise, for example it is crying out for 3-D touch. Given the high price it would be nice if it Felt like it was being a bit more actively developed.

Almost Makes Planning Fun! (2.8.9)

Always enjoy working with Things. A lovely clean interface and good functionality. However, simply due to differences in "screen real estate" I try to do as much on my desktop or at least iPad... Still, using my plus sized iPhone is not too awful 😉 Integration through the cloud is also easy to set up and operate. Been a happy CulturedCode customer for years. Dr Rama Lakshmanan

I can't leave without it anymore (2.8.8)
22/11/2016 06:14:00 4/5 By DiogoSnows
It's an awesome app. Tried many before but this is the only one I feel truly useful. I didn't give 5* because I think it's missing a calendar view and times in the scheduled tasks. Being able to just see the calendar without importing would be great! Also, the development seems to have stagnated... I hope they don't discontinue the service.

Simple Perfection (2.8.8)
20/11/2016 15:01:00 5/5 By Zingybob
It hasn't changed much over the years, but that's because it really hasn't had to. It continues to be epitome of refinement at the things is sets within the scope of its functionality, and I feel it's limitations are deliberate, and when accepted, are freeing. All that said, I can't wait to see what this team has in Things 3.

Stale (2.8.8)

- Rarely updated. - Non-Existent communication from developers. - I stopped using Things after this update, it was obvious it was never going to get new features. There are better apps available. Please take a look around before purchasing this app.

Lacking (2.8.8)
28/10/2016 03:17:00 2/5 By TimoGunt
It's just not being developed on anymore and so lacks a lot of the features that other companies have implemented. I'm now using Todoist that has apps everywhere, windows, mac, iOS, outlook, even chrome has a todoist extension. Things has just been left to rot from what I can see.

Great App 5 years ago.... (2.8.8)
23/10/2016 17:42:00 1/5 By Rapscalli
Developers haven't implemented any meaningful features in years. They do not communicate with their customers. Pulled the user forum which was a great source of info to users, but put CuluredCode in a bad light due to their total lack of development. Things 3 has been in development for how many years? Rather annoyed as I have spent quite bit of money on the iOS and OS X apps that they have not been developing in any meaningful way. A real shame as the app was a great app, just needs a developer that doesn't rest on their laurels..... See 2Do for how a dev can constantly update their app with useful features and be in regular communication with their users.

Excellent (2.8.8)

The first To Do App i have felt really happy to use. Very simple & effective.

Slow development (2.8.8)
01/10/2016 09:25:00 2/5 By stenataar
I have had an on off relationship with Things. This is because it is inherently a good solid app, but development is so slow that it just gets left behind. I have actually started to use the stock apple reminders app now as it has just about caught up with Things. Maybe when the next version of Things comes out with more features it might be worth looking at again. At the moment though it is just so far behind and not worth the money.

Awesome (2.8.6)

One of the best organisation apps continues to get better. Straight out of the door with 3D Touch in this release and continuing to add more features with each new release. Brilliant.

Have been away for a while using another app. Don't know why I guess I fancied a change. But Things is the best. I use it on Mac, iPhone6, iPad mini, and Watch. All great and sync well.

Can't do without

Could be amazing... (2.8.6)
13/05/2016 00:04:00 3/5 By alanhlewis
This app needs one thing... Time based reminders. A simple alarm when things are due, otherwise it's not really that useful for most people who need reminding

A great app which I keep coming back to (2.8.6)
05/05/2016 17:00:00 4/5 By Heylookitsal
A solid version which I've come back to after using Omnifocus for a while. There are a few features which I hope are on the road map but a great all-rounder.

Excellent (2.8.5)
25/04/2016 20:04:00 5/5 By Ovisav
Very good to organise tasks and projects. I like the application mostly for the project feature. You can tag your tasks, set due dates, create areas of responsibility. It is possible to import reminders from the original iOS application. Works flawlessly.

Best in Class To Do List App (2.8.5)
22/04/2016 11:00:00 5/5 By Dyslexic Data Guy
Having used many to-do/task apps over the years Things is simple the best I've ever used and worth every penny. The usability is first class, the classification and tagging works great. Mix into that Siri integration via the reminders app and quite possibly the best Watch App I've used to date for micro UX

Awesome app (2.8.5)
07/04/2016 20:41:00 5/5 By Lee1306
I bought this app a few days ago and it is amazing, it helps me out more than I could of imagined, worth every single penny.

Outstanding! (2.8.5)
03/04/2016 11:34:00 5/5 By SMURFIAS
A brilliant app that will definitely help you be more productive with time and ensure you never forget to do something! 😊

So far so good! (2.8.5)
01/04/2016 11:35:00 4/5 By Dickyg2101
After using omnifocus on my iPhone and iPad for a long time I got increasingly cheesed off with its crashing since IO9. Have tried Things out of frustration and so far I'm impressed. It is an elegant app that does what the tin says. A few little annoying quirks that you don't get with omnifocus, such as repeating tasks seems cumbersome etc but this is a small quibble. Thankfully the sync is quick and efficient, and so far no crashes!! As a GTD freak I like it.

On my home screen. (2.8.5)
18/03/2016 19:38:00 5/5 By OzV
Clean, simple and fast. Brilliant todo app. I use this in conjunction with Due. They work perfectly together to keep me organised.

The most reliable app of the kind (2.8.4)
09/03/2016 19:28:00 5/5 By Y69Y
Having tried Wunderlist, Todoist and many other such apps I'm always going back to Things - it may not be the sexiest but it's very reliable, instant to load, and does all that is needed to be organised and to follow up on Projects and Tasks. It may seem expensive but actually worth it.
