Meet the heroine, Twelve, as she sets off on an adventure to rescue her family following a cataclysmic event that befalls the town of Dozenopolis. Follow Twelve and her companion Dot—a clever decimal point— as they explore the universe and solve mathematics puzzles along the way.

Twelve a Dozen helps you discover the fun in learning mathematics. It takes a different approach to helping you learn as you play, by seamless integrating the math puzzles into the gameplay. Put simply, you won’t even notice you are learning!

Twelve a Dozen’s puzzles revolve around the manipulating of numbers throughout the adventure. You’ll have help along the way from scattered “numbles”, which are the key to solving puzzles and unlocking awesome new powers. Taking the “numbles” and creating new numbers through addition, subtraction, division and multiplication you unlock the powers hidden in these new digits!

Release Notes

20/05/2015 | Version : 1.3.1 | Size : 264.2 MB
- We've been nominated for a BAFTA! Not really anything to do with the update, but it's great news, and we love sharing happy things with you all.
- The button placements and scaling have been improved for iPad mini users - no more awkward off-the-screen tapping!
- A couple of other minor bugs have been squished.

20/11/2014 | Version : 1.2.0 | Size : 268.5 MB
We have a WHOLE LOT of changes for you this update! Best of all... the game now works for iPhone! If you have a 4S or above, you can join Twelve and Dot on their adventures. Great news!

- The adventure now concludes with the final ten levels in an exciting showdown with the Ultimate Prime!
- Sometimes Dot would tell you that you were missing a Numble when you weren't - that’s all sorted out now.
- Sometimes you sank while swimming rather than floating - now you don’t!
- Did you ever see a Numble in a cage that was weirdly teeny tiny? You won’t any more.
- Some clever (naughty) players figured out how to skip a section on 4-8. Never again will that happen. Not on our watch.
- Sometimes Dot refused to give hints at the end of a level. We've had stern words with her, and she has promised never to do that again.
- Sometimes the floating hand would encourage you to drag a numble into the machine you were standing in front of... even when you didn't have any Numbles. That's been fixed now.
- LOADS more bug fixes. If you’d like a full list, let us know on and we’ll send it to you.

Have a great day!

I wouldn't have skipped so many lessons if learning maths was like this. Engaging and now I want more. Hope there are plans to get some more advanced maths too.

Great game. Keeps the kids engaged and educates them at the same time. Perfect. I let use it as a reward in my math class.

Rather ambitiously started my 6-year-old daughter off on this but found myself caught up too. She loves it and so do I! Great music and fun narration.

Highly recommended game that teaches math gradually, up to complex levels, but very gradually. A large amount of levels makes the journey a long adventure of learning. My son started this game at 5years old with assistance. He still needs some help on most difficult levels, and also to prevent him pressing the "hint" button , so to force him think, or guide him in the mental maths. I am really impressed by the development quality. From the ambiance, the level design, the voice, music, and smooth progression. All make it an excellent game that I highly recommend. Please make the "hint" button optional, to give kids the impossibility to cheat or be lazy.

A work of genius (1.3.1)

This is so brilliant if you have kids. I cannot recommend this enough. We are quite active users of the App Store to find good, fun educational resources. This game has been so well designed and looks fantastic. Our child is in reception and having the usual issues with 6/9 12/20 and transitioning 13. This game is perfectly graduated to reinforce all the right lessons. Brilliant. Our younger child can still join and as the parents we love using it as well. A great family game.

Have I REALLY just spent the last 3hrs… (1.3.1)

…playing a game meant for kids…?! Why yes, yes I have, and you should, too, and support British indie games development. It's actually a pretty challenging game, having to work out when to add, when to subtract and, now when to multiply to get to the magic number needed to open gates, cross bridges, push things, and swim (so,far). Buy it for your kids - but keep it for yourself (or play it first). Some things are just too good to share. We have an education system that hates kids; a Dutch friend spent 2 years teaching at an infant and primary school in London. When I asked her why she left (she returned to Utrecht), she simply replied "I wasn't sadistic enough. Your education system hates kids". In The Netherlands education isn't compulsory until the age of 7, and schools generally don't have a uniform because kids are treated as individuals. Everything over there is the exact opposite to here; lessons are structured round a child's strengths, not their weaknesses, because always focusing on what a child struggles with gives them a constant sense of failure - how can a child learn anything if they're unhappy…? It's the same in Scandinavia too, where education is FREE right up to - and beyond - university. Yes, taxes are higher, but nobody really minds because they know that kids and young people are getting a good education and not being shackled to a debt they'll probably never be in a position to repay. Anyway, rant over. Download this. Now.
