Comments and Ratings for GRID 2 Reloaded Edition

The game runs super smooth on my Macbook Air 13” inch early 2014. I have seen some reviews saying that their game will not work as there is ‘damaged content’. The fix for this issue is to turn of your Mac’s wifi when you are going to play the game. This will stop it from downloading the update which is making the game say that there is ‘damaged content’.
Brilliant game ()

Loving the game, it’s run smoothlly for me so far, I’m still on 10.9.5 (2011 Mac) so I suspect that any issues might be with newer version of Mac OS X, possibly.
Game no longer loads ()

I have managed to play the game once. I have a 2015 15” MBPr (with graphics card) with an upgraded processor and SSD. The game loaded and played first time - since then, it crashes every time I try to play the game. As things stand, a complete waste of money. I hope they bring an update soon.
I want my money back!! ()

First time opening, this game was great and exactly what i wanted. After that, every time I opened it, the game crashed!! Now, every time I open the game, a message comes up telling me that my downloaded content is damaged and redirects me to the title screen. After a couple of times of repeating the process, I tried starting a new game… I played the opening race and the practice track and then the same message cxame up! I want my money back, particularly considering the price of the game.
fun semi arcade racer ()
5/5 By jonnyd50
Runs really well on 5k iMac with 290X graphics. fun game, nice balance between arcade and realism. No daft flying cars, but no really intricate car setup either, just fun racing. Plays fine with keyboard controls, but i’m looking forward to getting a ps3 controller.
Damaged Content… and I’m not the only one with this issue. ()
2/5 By Jimmybonkers
Same issue on both Macs I’m running this on, (a Mid-2013 MacBook Air, i7, 8GB; and a Mid-2011 iMac, i5, upgraded to 8GB). Downloaded and ran game first time on both devices and it worked perfectly fine. Now, trying to load it again and am receiving the error message that my downloadable content is damaged and asks to redownload. Have tried this and the problem persists on subsequent opening.
So far not pleased with the money spent on it, I know I’m not the only one with this issue; surely this should be patched, or if it is impossible to patch, (can’t believe that for a second), those who have bought it should be re-imbursed.
I shall be looking further into a possible refund if I see no update in the coming days, which is quite likely considering the last update was over 6 months ago. Shame, because I really enjoyed both F1 2012 and DiRT 2 and had high hopes for this.
Damaged content? ()
3/5 By mo.mcroberts
It’s a good game, especially if you enjoyed the first GRID. However, I’m frequently told that “my content” (whatever that is; App Store purchases don’t have DLC) is damaged and that I should download it again (no suggestions as how). At that point, I’m dumped back at the title screen. It’s quite intermittent — I’ve got through the first couple of seasons with moderate annoyance, but it has happened a few times now.
It doesn’t work ()

It doesn’t even start, it crashes. I own a 2013 macbook pro 13in with 16GB RAM and an i7 processor and the Intel Iris graphics card. All within spec, and it still doesn’t work. I got a refund :-(

I can’t download the game.I’ve triyed for days now.
Great game but crashing. Bought yesterday ()

I have only had the game 12hrs.
Playing the game on New Macbook 13 inch retina display, amazing graphics and the mac keeps up with the game however after four races, the game would no longer save progress.
I continues and it seemed to be fine until I switched off my Mac and the game would no longer load my profile. Attempted to reinstall the game and no real change has taken place.
Best graphics i’ve seen on my Macbook Pro 13” late 2013 ()
4/5 By JuniperB
I noticed other reviewers having problems on Macbook Pro 13” 8mb RAM and Intel Iris 1536mb, however for me it works fine. I play on “medium” settings but then manually bump a couple of cool things (window reflections, shadows etc.) up to high.
I’ve had to lower the resolution to 1080p, however I have an ultra wide monitor and the game automatically detects the extra width and provides options to fill the screen - it looks great!
The only downside is playing on keywboard is a bit less realistc than with a joypad/wheel, but once you get the hang of drifting it’s a really great game.
Not supported ()

I downloaded this game on a Macbook Pro and it says that the game is not supported on this Mac. Some warning before I downloaded it would have been nice. Is it possible to get this refunded?
Grid 2 (1.0.2)
1/5 By British Flag
It has a good graphic but even after changing the setting to extra easy, still it’s impossible for me to have any chance to progress at all.
Doesn’t work - really disappointed (1.0.2)
1/5 By JdGeorge
I love the GRID franchise - I have it on PC and all version on PS3. The first time I ran this on OSX it was a great port (my PS3 controller worked fine too). The second time I tried to play I got the “damaged content” error too and now it won’t start.
THIS GAME IS NOT READY YET - DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY
Problem with save data (1.0.2)
3/5 By Happyface:)1
I’ve seen a few reviews on the internet and i am also having the same problem, when you play the game once it is fine, however when you close it and open it again… after it has finished loading the game it says 'damaged content, please reload the game’. when you reload the game the same thing happens making it unplayable. a game worth £35.00 shouldnt be doing this. Please resolve this issue
PS. i am playing this game on a Mac book retina with 2.6ghz with turbo boost up to 3.2Ghz and i have 80GB of free SSD storage. The game ran fine the first time.

I only managed to open it once then when I try to use it it doesn’t work. I am really disappointed and WANT MY MONEY BACK!
Great Game (1.0.2)
4/5 By zxionxx
Playing this on my 27in imac, 16GB ram and 2 GB grahics card and it runs great but a game controler is a must. I used a wired xbox 360 controler. I run it at max setting and i think the graphics look great. another good job from feral. Shame about lack of online mode though.

Yosemite 10.10.1 on MacbookPro Retina i5 , 8gb ram, with Intel Iris 1536. Game simply do not run.
What have you done????!!!! (1.0.1)
1/5 By Freddie1346
Do not update. Cars now spin blindly out of control smashing up the grid. Great. Sort it out.
1/5 By Debbo72
Do not update it messes up all the controller settings and you cant use a ps3 controller it also make this crash all the time
No Multiplayer (1.0)
1/5 By Ph1l2
Have Grid and thought this would be good to try, Grid 2 should be better but it looks like multiplayer has been removed. I spent £32 on something that is useless and gone backwards.
Brilliant game, but ocassional lag (1.0)
4/5 By TT2E
Awesome game with brilliant graphics, I was very impressed as it runs very smoothly on medium settings on my iMac (16gb ram, i7 processor, Nvidia GTX 650M graphics card). I’ve been enjoying it so much that I bought an xbox one controller for it, which works flawlessly.
I’ve been experiencing some problems with lag spikes, however - usually this only happens when I’m in the game menu so it’s not much of a problem, but it also sometimes happens while in a race and it can be very frustrating at times. Overall, I’d say it’s a great game, but I just hope there is a fix for the lag spikes.
Great racing game for Mac (1.0)
5/5 By 999cameron
Works perfectly, no lag at all on full settings, on a 2013 iMac, 16GB Ram. Great game too
Controls are awful (1.0)
1/5 By Drplough
Tottaly unplayable using a keyboard. One press on the left and right keys sends you into a spin with NO WAY of changing the sensitivity. Played 100’s of driving games over the year’s and have to say that this one is terrible.
Paid over £30 for this and I want my money back!!
5/5 By simonbruce
Runs very nicely on 3.5Ghz iMac with 4GB 780M at full resolution with every setting to max! Great fun and works perfectly with wireless PS3 controller.
