Release Notes

16/11/2017 | Version : 4.3.0 | Size : 58.5 MB
We received the most one star reviews in our last update and we apologize for the recent crashing issues experienced by some of you. The crashes are mostly caused by the fact that our developers are all using Sierra machines and we didn't test OS backward compatibility for El Capitan and Yosemite before release as previous versions have been stable:

* For El Capitan and Yosemite users, we fixed all import related crashes in this update.
* For High Sierra users who run on 2015 Macbooks, we also fixed the trailing ghosting issues when moving the image around.
* We recommend you use the Pro mode of the app on bigger displays. You can change the express/pro mode UI in settings.

New features:
* We added better grain texture and grain controls. Now you can control roughness and highlights of the grain.
* We moved some of the local adjustment controls to the bottom of the image, and now the controls will hide when you make adjustments.
* Other improvements from our iOS app is now carried over to the mac app as well.

07/09/2017 | Version : 4.0.0 | Size : 43.7 MB

Comments and Ratings for Polarr Photo Editor

Brilliant intermediate photo editor (3.8.0)
29/04/2017 12:24:12 5/5 By droubt
After trying various free photo editors for working with RAW files, and not being able to afford Lightroom, I opted for this app. It turns out that Polarr has just the right balance of features for me (a relative beginner to RAW processing). It has everything I need organised in a beautiful, simple interface. It’s obviously not as powerful as Lightroom or, indeed, Rawtherapee, but it is easier to use while being actually very powerful. Integration with Photos on Mac is also great. Well worth the money.

Amazing, worth £100 (3.4.2)

This is a great photo editing software, so simple with amazing results. Worth more like £100 than £19.99 Great updates too! Thanks, massive time saver

Photos extension need improvement (1.4.0)
01/06/2016 15:23:00 3/5 By Nigel Goodman
Well, for 79p you should not expect much, and this app has problems with its Photos extension - which is what I tried first. It is sluggishly slow when processing an image, and the live preview of changes be made have a serious display distortion problem which makes processing quite difficult. The app has some interesting capabilities, but I have achieved (subjectively) better results using other low-cost app extensions - especially in the clarity processors. I’ve only just installed it and I will try more things with it in due course and if necessary I will amend this review.

After the update, it is not working... (1.4.0)
16/04/2016 13:15:00 1/5 By Canissa
I have bought the previous version which did not work at all. I searched the forum and found that I was not the only one with the black screen problem. There was an update this morning, but the app is still broken! It is STILL NOT WORKING.

What is this guy talking about?? (1.3.0)
09/02/2016 20:56:00 5/5 By radavis
I bought this app to see what the previous reviewer was talking about, and I doubt as to whether he has actually even used the program. It may not be Photoshop but it does what it says, all the adjustments are there with a wide range of filters and all you would want unless you are professional photographer. The screen can be resized to fit your screen, and the the interface is well laid out. The only thing I would like to see is the ability to import a whole folder of photos rather than individual ones (although I mightbe miisng on how to do it). Before you buy it try the lite version. Is it worth the price I paid of £7.99. I would say a big yes.

why would you have this app in here? (1.2.0)
30/01/2016 20:14:00 1/5 By AAppsReviews
this makes no sense to me whatsoever... Why this app was accepted in the appstore ? No adjustment, so you wouldn’t be able to work with it on a normal screen. Is this designed to be use on over 60” TVs with 1080p or HD screen? No options, no preferences, and no brains from Apple department who’s in charge with apps acceptance. Somebody should be definitely fired from there as soon as. Why Apple would accept and advertise a totaly unsable app I do not understand. This is a proof that nobody tests these app store apps anymore.

From this dev.
