*** The original and only Mac shutter count reader that works with all new Canons ***

ShutterCount displays the number of shutter actuations (the shutter count) of your Canon EOS, Nikon or Pentax digital camera - see the complete list of supported models below. The shutter count is read directly from a USB or Wi-Fi connected Canon EOS DSLR, and from image files for Nikon and Pentax cameras.

With ShutterCount you can easily check whether a newly purchased camera is really new, or check how heavily used a pre-owned item is. And you can save a trip to a service center by doing the reading for yourself.

ShutterCount provides unlimited readings for your cameras.

The app displays the count for still photos by default - purchase the optional Live View Pack to get additional counters that also cover videos. The Live View Pack is available as an in-app purchase for select Canon models.

History logging allows you to track camera usage. Logs are stored in CSV format that can be imported into Apple's Numbers or Microsoft Excel for further processing.

The optional Plus Pack enables additional features: shutter count graphing & forecasting, history log duplicate removal, camera date/time synchronization (Canon only) and outdated firmware version warning (Canon only). The Plus Pack is available as an in-app purchase.

Note: for the best compatibility with your camera it is recommended to upgrade the camera's firmware to the latest available version.

Certified cameras (with live view counters):
• Canon EOS-1D X Mark II, 5D Mark II, 5D Mark III, 5D Mark IV, 5DS, 5DS R, 6D, 6D Mark II, 7D, 7D Mark II, 70D, 77D, 80D, 100D, 200D, 750D, 760D, 800D, 1200D, 8000D, 9000D; Kiss X7, X8i, X9, X9i, X70; Rebel SL1, SL2, T5, T6i, T6s, T7i.

Easily grabbed counts for my 1d iv and 5d iii with no problems whatsoever. Purchased this after wasting my time and money on "EOS Inspector", whcih didn’t work at all in comparison. I fully recommend ShutterCount!

Needs updating! (1.4)

This app works fine for my old 55D, however for more recent cameras it is just not working. It won’t detect my 80D - fair enough - it’s reasonably new out, but I’m not getting anything for our 750D either. This camera has been out well over a year now. disappointing to say the least. Still charging full price…UPDATE THE APP PLEASE!

Perfect (1.4)

Used to verify shutter count on a Canon 70D body prior to part-exchange. Opened the App up with my new Canon 7D Mark ll body connected and it picked it up immediately

Essential for reselling cameras - or if you’re just curious about how many times you’ve taken pictures!

It does the job perfectly (1.4)

Definitely a good tool for a honest price! Thanks. I hope you can add D5s soon.

Truly amazing app, less than $3 and so accurate. (1.4)

A lot of Canon DSLR users got tired of the restrictions and how purposefully difficult Canon make it to get the shutter count from many of the DSLR cameras. This app is amazing and makes it so simple to get he shutter rcount. I’ve used it on 2 5d Mark II and a 7d without issue. Note ot user Gjevans - rating something as lowered stars because you don’t undertsand how the shutter works and how the video aspectr of a DSLR works is unfair. As the shutter is not “clicked” in video mode there is no real way to count the amount of times the shutter opens and closes for videos as they use liveView mode which again, does not actuatre the shutetr as it does for a photograph. This app is called ShutterCount to count the shutter actuations for photographs, it is not called VideoModeCount. thanks guys for an amaizng app!

Counts the shutter, but not actuatuions :( (1.4)

My shutter count came out at 1339, however I use my camera a lot for videos and my latest photo was numbered 8976. I believe the shutter count is therefore not taking in to account the total number of photos and videos taken on the camera, so you’re not actually getting reliable information.
