Comments and Ratings for Star Wars® Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy
Just buy it! (1.0.1)
5/5 By DarthVenomoth
Gameplay is 10/10. Multiplayer 10/10.
The story? maybe a 6/10, not really a compelling story but everything else makes for it. Stop contemplating like I was and just buy the game. It’s a steal.
I experianced no mayjor crashes, bugs, issues etc there was one small section where it lagged really bad but apart from that, perfect.
Good nostalgic game (1.0.1)
5/5 By PhilGreeno
Great port - no issues with crashing and exactly the same playability as before.
Worth it if you liked learning all of the cool chaining attacks and counters with the various lightsabers first time around and might hold some pleasant surprises in terms of gameplay for new players.
2/5 By Pezzamaniailikeale
A brilliant game ruined by its unreliability; crashes regularly and at one point froze my entire computer so I had to let the battery drain. A real shame, but I’m not impressed.
the problem (1.0.1)

I encounterd the problem mentioned previously, but I found reinstalling the game can get rid of it, also if you suffer a texture problem when you first start your Jedi training it’s best if you start a new save, but appart from that I have not encounterd any other problems and it’s a great game, not quite KOTOR, but still great
doesn’t compatiable with my mac pro retina???? (1.0.1)

Classic Star Wars! (1.0)
5/5 By Hippyvan
Star Wars games are usually good, especially extended universe ones. This is a great game that is solid and keeps you entertained. I really love the freedom it gives with the order of levels and good/evil paths (although a lot of Star Wars games make this the story's focus). Reminds me of the 'Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace' game that came out for the PS1. Awesome.

I dont like leaving negative reviews but I'm stuck, out of pocket having the same problem as Dgacraig reported - 5 mins in, you can't progress as the AI commits suicide! Total waste of money!? Anybody help me with how to get a REFUND!
May the Force be with you (1.0)

Excellent fun, an oldie but a goodie.
Runs very well on my 2009 MacBookPro - no overheating, excess fans, etc.

Great Classic (1.0)

I Love how they have brought this clasic back and on to the Mac with an smother gameplay and better and more improved graphics. I am a bit disapointed how ever that they have delted the option for an controller which was a bit of a let down but Its a better copy of the game I do have an Xbox 360 controller that I can use for games but I dont think I honestly need it for this game as it has simple keys that are right next to eachother making it easier to play. However this may be better but I have noticed that you can not realy play online and when I use to play this on my HP computer I was able to play with others and it would be great fun now Its all hacked lobbys with bairly any that are not it dose have it so you can create bots to play with you though brining some of the exprenice back. Overall its a great game that is deffentley worth buying for £6.99 if your an Computer Gamer but if you totally perfure console just get an Orginal Xbox and the game will be around the same price but this is a better version to play from my aspect.
Silly Multiplayer doesnt work! (1.0)
3/5 By spiceyjagon
there is a huge bug in the multiplayer of this game for both the mac app store version and steam version. making it almost impossible to play online due to downloading maps and mods issues. as multiplayer was a large factor for me buying the game i had to drop a couple of stars.
however singleplayer works absolutely perfectly on my Macbook Pro 13inch (2011) and it is a brilliant game. i had it on my old Xbox and as that broke a few years back i couldnt pass up this oppertunity to own the game again.
all in all a good game, the singleplayer alone is worth the 6.99, but multiplayer needs sorting urgently!

bought and dowloaded as soon as i saw it, no hesitation!
Runs AMAZING on my 2011 13" macbook pro, no lag or glitches or bugs, no issues at all in single player campaign
(haven't tried multiplayer but i doubt thats the reason you'll be buying this game)
runs on FULL SETTINGS except for the object glow which makes it lag but if you turn that off then you get at least 60fps
Overall, sweet port, amazing campaign and definately worth £6.99 :)

The singleplayer is great, no bugs, gliches or any other issues, but multiplayer — does not work. As soon as I hit join a server, the game just stops. Please fix. Thank you in advance.

Massive glitch in the first five minutes of playing, Rosh the AI character jumps across a river a dies every time ending the game. Please fix.
Wrong system requirements? (1.0)

Since when Jedi Academy requires a quad core processor and 512 Vram? I am able to run it via mvware fullscreen on 1080p on my 13 inch macbook pro 2009. Buyers, careful!
