Great game, seems strange that my MacBook struggles with such an old game though.

Pleeeeease add retina support!!! (1.3.8)
27/07/2015 14:39:00 4/5 By [Hero]
This is literally the best game ever- except that it doesn’t have retina display support. Please please add higher resolutions!!!!!!!

Great game, but it crashes at the same bit EVERYTIME (1.3.8)

Loving the game, never played it when I was younger, very much enjoying it now. Well I was… up until the point where I just faced Malak for the first time (which was awesome), but then the game decides to crash everytime after I destroy a bunch of Sith Fighters. Want to know if this a regular problem with the game as I really don’t want to start another game again for this to keep happening. Other than that, a great game and well worth 8 quid, assuming it doesn’t crash for you.

Awesome (1.3.8)

Great for the time it was released.

13/05/2014 12:11:00 1/5 By Jonny7150
this is not how i remember star wars games, for one the controls are a nightmare, its not realtime(as in it pauses so you can attack, and set up commands) i would like my money back tbf!

Great game and no problems. (1.3.8)
09/05/2014 04:14:00 5/5 By Blueboy98
Great game with a great story that makes you want to play more and more worth getting. I had no problems playing the game on my Macbook pro . Remeber to save as you go along because if you die you will go back to the last time you saved your game. This game is great and worth getting, graphics are not great but its a old game, about 11 years old i think, what are people expecting. Buy it if you want intresting story not for a great graphics.

Awesome memories! (1.3.8)
07/05/2014 12:47:00 5/5 By David Polding
Amazing memories brought back! This runs just perfect on my Macbook Pro 2012 (4gb) through an external monitor or on the built in one. I don’t underastand why people are complaining, it has no graphical problems and looks much better than when I played it in 2003. Not experienced any crashes or problems. Highly recommended, especially if you have played before and want to play this truely awesome game again.

Not impressed with this game (1.3.8)
02/05/2014 01:53:00 1/5 By OliverSchoen
The graphics reminds me to the good old days of an amiga computer, the resolution is not even HD - no I have got a mac pro that does 4K. Seriously? - no thanks. On the other hand £2.49 isn’t the end of the world ...

Great game but ran into a major issue (could someone help) (1.3.8)
12/01/2014 21:39:00 4/5 By Adrian knows
When you fight your way through the sith embassy in mannan you should come across a door that allows you into the training room; I cannot access it, no matter what I do the door stays locked. Then I researched some gameplay and found that you should stumble into a selkath that accesses the door, I do not. I do not know wheather my game has been corrupted or not but it seems that the only way to access the training room is by stumbling into a selkath, but in my case it does not even spawn. I’ve tried everything e.g using troids with extremely high computer and security skills, and it still did not work. I’d also like to note that the saved game picture (the picture that is taken as a preview of where you left off) is a completely blank white page colour. If anyone has had this issue or knows how to fix this please reply… Thanks.

How do I play this game? (1.3.8)

Such a great game but so frustrating how often it crashes after all of my party dies. Please fix it

05/11/2013 18:48:00 1/5 By starwarsfan23
No widescreen …are you serious releasing the game on the app store in like 2011 with no widescreen laughable….oh and constant crashes on a new macbook pro if i could get a refund I would…..all technical gripes aside the game is dull as dishwater.

Buggy (1.3.8)
04/11/2013 10:06:00 1/5 By RickW1986
Crashes all the time. In fact i cant get past a certain point early in the game because it crashes at that point every time. Wonderful game but ruined by a bad port. Dont waste your money they dont deserve it.

Great game - crashes frequently (1.3.8)
31/10/2013 01:08:00 3/5 By Grade84
What a classic game! It is infintely playable, hours of play time. Good fun. Unfortunately it frequently crashes with the latest release of Marvericks. At first it wasn’t too much but now it is up to 3 times a session which is disappointing.

Brilliant Game, Just Doesn't Work. (1.3.8)
18/10/2013 22:19:00 3/5 By C.C.L
I used to have this game a few years ago on PC. I know it to be a little glitchy from that. Since I got about 10 minutes into the story from that point on after a minute or so you can't move around. The Character only skips around and it's made the game unplayable which is a real shame as I loved it the first time I played it. It may be something to do with my Mac. (Old 2008 MacBook Air) Maybe needs a new model. Very dissapointed with performance, feel as if I've wasted my time and money. Maybe try the iPad version.

Perfect!!! (1.3.8)

I love the game, I just adore the game nothing more to say than a amazing game and hope to see KOTR2. No lag Great Gameplay I didn't actully know you could change the difficultly of the game till a few days ago so I say that it is a well done up game. Good storyline and plot, now excited for the appearance of KOTR2

One of my all time favourite games (1.3.8)
14/09/2013 12:01:00 5/5 By Alpha Omega 84
It is not often when I say WELL WORTH THE MONEY. After 10 years this game is still top notch in every possible aspect. I know we see even better but the graphics are great for its time, the voice acting is brilliant, the story line makes this game so immersive. It is a shame Bio Ware didn't make KOTOR 3 instead of that SWTOR they put in its place. Bio Ware needs to see that a single player game is their greatest strength, not MMORPGs. However that point aside, Great game and it was worth every penny.

Awesome Game (1.3.8)
06/08/2013 04:18:00 5/5 By Jbw1994
Works great on my 13" Macbook Pro with 8GB RAM, had absolutely no problems with the game and really enjoyed it as a whole, awesome storyline Well worth buying!

Fantastic! 😊 (1.3.8)

Despite being over 10 years old, this game can still take your breath away. It works beautiful on my 2007 iMac, and so should work fine on most recent Macs - the graphics are smoothly a silky, the gameplay immersive and I definitely recommend this one of the classic games in the genre. You will enjoy it!

12/07/2013 10:19:00 1/5 By Georgeblumenthal
Ok, firstly, there's a glitch which stops you from pressing the buttons which happened just now and took me an age to work out how to quit. And I was quitting in the first place because it tells me to right and left click simultaneously, but don't you know how some macs have the mac mouses where control-click means right-click? Extremely disappointed. Get this sorted, homies.

crap (1.3.8)
08/07/2013 20:12:00 1/5 By DannyMartin123
this game is so crap i can not belive i even bought it, don't let the nice pictures make you think that it has good graphics because it does not. ps: DONT BUY IT !!!!!!!!!

Amazing (1.3.8)
08/07/2013 11:34:00 5/5 By condemnedpanik
Played this as a teenager and it was the best game ever, such a rollercoaster of a game! Bought it again today works perfectly fine, no crashes as of yet the only thing was I had to download it twice to get it to work. I dont get why so many people are moaning about the gameplay its a turn based RPG. Just wish bioware would make another single player KOTOR.

Unreliable (1.3.8)
04/07/2013 23:04:00 1/5 By Sarnian2
Worked fine the first time, then when reloading from saved games, the keyboard stops working totally. Searching on the web, this is a common problem on PCs, but I didn't expect to see it on a Mac! Aspyr's on-line "support" doesn't even mention this bug. Avoid!

Dissapointed (1.3.8)
19/06/2013 13:51:00 1/5 By Pop Punk 101
After purchasing this game for my iMac I am expected to repurchase this game on all other Apple devices! Very dissapoointed indeed ...

Beautiful (1.3.8)
08/06/2013 00:10:00 5/5 By Wise_Benson
Absolutely amazing gameplay, occasionslly it gets a tiny bit too linear and it lags for about 2 seconds every hour, but you shouldn't notice it. The early stages are tough and combat is slightly turnbased but this changes after the first planet. The game lasts for a LONG time so you have a lot of time to enjoy it. The last level is VERY hard even on easy mode and i did have to cheat a little bit :P But that's where you test your characters strenght, which you build up during the game. The RPG element of this game interlincs well with combat and with occasional puzzle solving exelently. Whether you choose Jedi (harder) or Sith (Easier) they both have their own advatages and disadvantages. I would recommend choosing Jedi because it's far more rewarding. I recomend you buy this game NOW! It is so smoth and so exilerating you will not regret it! One thing though SAVE VERY VERY VERY OFTEN!!! You are likely to die early on and at the very end. Keep lots of saves rather than just one and save after everything you do; auto-saves are very rare so loosing all your progress for the last 15 mins can be frustrating but you should not notice it after the first planet. However don't stretch the view or it will look grainy, don't try to move the game out of the aplications folder (it is huge and you will lag your Mac). You will notice the games age but it is just so FANTASTIC that it should not bother you at all. Overall, BUY IT. It shuold be game of the year every year for 1000 years! (slight exaduration) once you've finished you will want to buy Knights of the Old Republic 2, but this is not made by the same people and does not feel the same and is currenly not available on the App Store :( ENJOY!!

Just Like I Remember…. (1.3.8)
07/06/2013 01:56:00 4/5 By Liam Wells
This game is now something like 10years old but still is better than some modern games ive played. I had the original on the PC and so far have found the same faults i experianced on there. I am using a macbook air and have had no difficulty downloading or playing. on the old PC (and this download) there is a problem that the talks can sometimes skip the voices and skip to the choice of answers. for those people who dont know the storyline this can be annoying. A good way of fixing it is to save and reload. Other than that expect old graphics but not awful, bit of flat faces etc but looks ok. Jolty movement but still gets you where you want to go. The gameplay has been criticised by some here but i enjoy the 1, 2, 3, button sequence, if you know how to use the keyboard play is fine. Don't expect a new Bioware Starwars game and you shall be happy with your purchase!

Brilliant (1.3.8)

This game was the reason why i love star wars franchise :) The game has multiple endings and the mouth speech sync is excellent. The multiple location settings is also another big thumbs up. The only bad point is that Knights of the old republic two is not on mac. Other than that, it is defo worth the price!! 5 Stars *****
